Morning
The light shines through
The daylight breaks
The morning starts
As you awake
Does the sun lift your spirits
Does the light awake wonders today
Does the crisp cold air
Take your bated breath away
Hold on to that moment
The sheer delight
In a fraction of a second
The whole world seems right
It’s a curse and a blessing
The charm of a morning
That from this one beautiful moment in time
The truth of life will be dawning
Take that moment
Make it last a while
And hold onto the golden seconds
Where all your thoughts smile

I’ve been an avid reader and scribbler for years but only recently started thinking about publishing my work.
I’ve always enjoyed writing and have, since 2008, been producing scripts for theatre as my main focus of writing, but always scribbling poems, songs and short stories for fun, and/or catharsis. I’m also a keen sketcher and sketchnoter.
