What if…

What if those moments never laboured
Never toyed with time

What if the voices I heard weren’t alone
What if there was a power to denying

What if I never closed my eyes
To shake you from my sight
What if I never pushed you away
And we never had that fight

I love you

What if I just chose not to believe
That you could have left me here

What if I believe you didn’t leave me
But were taken by your tears

What if you were here with me
And the ghosts could leave in peace
What if you could reach out your hand
And pull me back into the life I’ve ceased

What if the fracture in my porcelain heart
We’re stronger in the face of this pain

What if you could reach out your hand
Your love could help it beat strongly again

What if my tears didn’t fall like rain
And what if you heard my deafened cries
What if my heart never broke
What if I could decide

Poetry Scribbles

I’ve been an avid reader and scribbler for years but only recently started thinking about publishing my work.
I’ve always enjoyed writing and have, since 2008, been producing scripts for theatre as my main focus of writing, but always scribbling poems, songs and short stories for fun, and/or catharsis. I’m also a keen sketcher and sketchnoter.
