Wallpaper – A poetical sketchnote
Having never done it before I decided to try sketchnoting one of my poems, I wasn’t sure how to go about it to start with so, I’ll be completely honest, I just sort of winged it. But I’m really enjoying the process and it’s an interesting way to see these two things coming together.
So I read the poem and jotted down, in pencil, the key words and phrases from the opening stanzas that stood out to me.
I then took a picture of the sketchnote and uploaded it to my iPad Pro, I use an app called Pro Create with my Apple pencil for my digital drawings and musings, so opened the image as a canvas and sort of went from there. Using my initial sketchnote as a guide I’ve brought it to life with some vibrant colours.
I hope you like it, I’m, enjoying working on this one, a great way of getting to grips with my new tech too 🙂

I’ve been an avid reader and scribbler for years but only recently started thinking about publishing my work.
I’ve always enjoyed writing and have, since 2008, been producing scripts for theatre as my main focus of writing, but always scribbling poems, songs and short stories for fun, and/or catharsis. I’m also a keen sketcher and sketchnoter.
